Universal Audio社は、DSPカード「UAD-2」で動作する同社プラグインシリーズの新製品「Massive Passive EQ」をリリースした。本製品は、Manley社の真空管EQ（ハードウェア）「Massive Passive EQ」をプラグイン化したもの。本製品は、真空管の暖かみを忠実に各周波数帯に伝える、真空管イコライザーの代名詞ともいえる、Manley Massive Passive EQをベースに開発された、2チャンネル4バンド仕様のイコライザー・プラグインで、厳選されたコンソール、パラメトリック、グラフィックといったPultecの各イコライザーの利点を生かすことで、ボーカルの微妙な心の機微までをも表現でき、他のプラグインとは一線を画すイコライザーとなっている。なお、本製品は「UAD Software v5.6.0」に含まれている。価格は299ドル。
